Authorization of cylinders manufactured in Canada to be filled, used, and requalified in the United States

PHMSA amended § 171.12 (a)(4) to authorize filling, maintenance, testing, and use of CTC, CRC, BTC, and TC cylinders that have a corresponding DOT specification cylinder as prescribed in the HMR. This authorization extends the recognition of cylinders manufactured in Canada to be filled, used and requalified..."

The International Harmonization Update will become effective JULY 12, 2017. United States RIN holders can begin submitting modification applications to have their approvals updated with the corresponding TC- cylinder specifications.
