PHMSA offers comprehensive funding opportunities focused on hazardous materials and pipeline safety. PHMSA funding opportunities are designed to:
- Foster partnerships with states, local communities, universities, and nonprofits
- Provide resources for emergency preparedness
- Promote pipeline awareness campaigns
- Develop pipeline resources
- Implement best practices for pipeline and hazmat safety, nationwide
- Encourage the development of new technologies
- Help municipality and community-owned utilities improve and maintain safe pipeline infrastructure.

Hazardous Materials Grants
PHMSA's Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Grants Program is comprised of the following six grants:
