Self-Reactive Materials and Organic Peroxides
Overview
A self-reactive material (Division 4.1) that is not identified by technical name in the Self-Reactive Materials Table in §173.224(b) of the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) must be approved in writing by the Associate Administrator in accordance with the requirements of §173.124(a)(2) (iii).
An organic peroxide material (Division 5.2) that is not identified by a technical name in the Organic Peroxide Tables found in §173.225 of the HMR must be approved in writing by the Associate Administrator in accordance with the requirements of § 173.128(d).
Applications for self-reactive materials or organic peroxides are subject to the provisions of 49CFR §107.701 Subpart H Approvals, Registrations and Submissions
