About the Sciences & Engineering Division

The Sciences & Engineering Division consists of four branches – Sciences, Engineering, Energetic Materials and Pressure Vessels. The first two program areas provide technical expertise that is used as the foundation for the United States's policy on the commercial transportation of hazardous materials. The second two programs issue Approvals as the United States Competent Authority for hazardous materials transportation.
