This brochure provides guidance for obtaining a Competent Authority Approval (CAA) for the classification of self-reactive materials and organic peroxides. A CAA authorizes the transportation of these materials in compliance with the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR); 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) parts 171-180.
