The Research and Special Programs Administration’s (RSPA) Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS) and the National Association of Pipeline Safety Representatives (NAPSR) cosponsored a workshop on stress corrosion cracking (SCC) with the pipeline industry trade associations (American Petroleum Institute, Association of Oil Pipelines, Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, American Gas Association, and NACE International). The workshop provided a forum for the discussion of SCC phenomena in both gas and hazardous liquid pipelines.

The Research and Special Programs Administration's (RSPA's) Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS) conducted a public meeting in Dulles, Virginia on April 25, 2003. The purpose of this meeting was to address issues raised at recent meetings on the proposed rule, 49 CFR Part 192.763, "Pipeline Integrity Management in High Consequence Areas".
