Safety Program Data for Pipeline and LNG Operators
PHMSA collects Safety Program data solely for safety oversight purposes. The data does not imply any financial or legal relationship between operators. Safety Program data simply shows all operators implementing a common set of procedures. The specific Safety Programs and links to more information are:
- Integrity Management (IM)
- -- Gas Distribution (GD)
- -- Gas Transmission (GT)
- -- Hazardous Liquid (HL)
- -- Underground Natural Gas Storage (UNGS)
- Operations Maintenance Emergency (OME)
- Control Room Management (CRM)
- Public Awareness (PA)
- Damage Prevention (DP)
- Operator Qualification (OQ)
- Oil Pollution Act Facility Response Plan (OPA)
- Drug & Alcohol Testing (D&A)
The table below describes the safety programs required for each system type:

For each Safety Program, operators submit a Primary OpID and an Effective Date. PHMSA has assigned a Safety Program Name to each Primary OpID.
