Respondent was assessed a civil penalty of $50,000 for one violation of the HMR when it offered for transportation Radioactive Material, Type A Package, UN2915, a Class 7 hazardous material, in a package that was overwrapped in a plain fiberboard box to conceal the markings and label on the original wooden crate containing the material, and which was not accompanied by a shipping paper describing the material as hazardous.
