The Inspector Training and Qualifications Division (TQ) offers technical assistance, web-based training, and nationwide seminars for operators and inspectors to educate them on the consistent and thorough application of the regulations and compliance requirements, inspection techniques and enforcement procedures. Training activities include in-depth instructor-led training at the PHMSA Training Center in Oklahoma City, as well as at various regional and state seminars.

While most training is for federal and state inspectors, there are some public training modules available to the public online. A full schedule of inspector training is available through the eLearning for Federal and State Partners website.
