Archived Rulemaking: Procedures for Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing

Under the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991, the Department of Transportation is required to implement alcohol testing programs in various transportation industries. This proposed rule would established circumstances in which blood alcohol testing could be used in these programs and procedures that would be used for blood alcohol testing.
