Archived Rulemaking: Transportation of Natural and Other Gas and Hazardous Liquids by Pipeline; Line Marking at Navigable Waterways

Document
48-fr-25206.pdf (844.98 KB)

This amendment revokes the regulations that require pipeline operators to place and maintain line markers at locations where gas and hazardous liquid pipelines cross navigable waterways. The current regulations are considered costly and unnecessary for safety in light of requirements and practices of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and voluntary practices of the pipeline industry.
