Operator compliance with the pipeline safety regulations is critical to preventing pipeline accidents and incidents. Goals of PHMSA's outreach program for the 2022 Pipeline Safety Improvement Rulemaking are to expand awareness and knowledge of the Final Rule and the new operator requirements to PHMSA stakeholders through outreach and education by:

1. Identifying and educating all operators of the new requirements.
    
2. Educating PHMSA and PHMSA State partners of the new requirements with the Final Rule.
    
3. Providing outreach to the Pipeline trades on the new requirements for with the Final Rule.
