Dear Ms. Jacobsen:
This is in response to your correspondence dated May 8, 1995, pertaining to an employee who is using a prescription drug.
The Research and Special Programs Administration (RSPA) does not have any prohibitions in its drug rule against an employee's use of prescription drugs. Therefore, you may not test an individual for prescription drugs under the authority of the Research and Special Programs Administration.
