PHMSA Collaborates with USPS to Promote Hazmat Safety Guidelines for Shipping Lithium Batteries. In their continuing effort to improve safety, the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) collaborated and today rolled out a set of safety guidelines for those wanting to mail lithium batteries.
