The information briefing will provide the community of Upper Makefield Township, Pennsylvania, as well as other interested stakeholders, an opportunity to learn more about PHMSA’s recent Consent Order and Agreement with Energy Transfer (Sunoco), L.P.

On April 29, 2025, PHMSA executed a Consent Order and Agreement with Energy Transfer, L.P., that puts in place corrective measures following a leak discovered on the company’s Twin Oaks Pipeline in January 2025. The Twin Oaks Pipeline is operated by Energy Transfer’s subsidiary, Sunoco Pipeline, L.P. The Consent Order and Agreement directed Energy Transfer to implement a series of actions along the entire 105-mile Twin Oaks Pipeline system, ensuring the conditions that led to the pipeline failure do not exist elsewhere along the line.

PHMSA staff will explain what is required by the Consent Order and Agreement and will allow time for questions from the public.
