Archived Rulemaking: Transportation of natural and other gas by pipeline: Protecting cast-iron pipelines
The Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS) Is considering adding a new F 192.755 to Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations concerning protection of buried cast-iron pipelines. The new rule would require an operator to provide protection against the potential for damage which arises when the support for a buried cast-iron pipeline is disturbed, either by the operator or otherwise.
