Archived Rulemaking: Transportation of Hydrogen Sulfide by Pipeline
This notice requests information to determine the need for regulations to control the concentration of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in natural gas pipeline systems. There have been several instances in which H2S has entered pipelines inadvertently. High concentrations may be extremely toxic if released and 1-6S is detrimental to steel pipe.
