RSPA proposes to update the existing incorporation by reference of the American Petroleum Institute (API) specifications for line pipe, API 5L, 5LS, and 5LX, by adopting the 1985 edition of API Specification 5L for gas and hazardous liquid pipelines. API 5L, 5LS, and 5LX have been consolidated into one specification by the API. Editions prior -to the 1985 edition are out of print.
