These amendments generally conform requirements of Parts 192 and 195 for welding procedure qualification and performance and for welder qualification, with the exception of requirements for low stress welder qualification applicable only to Part 192. Welding procedure requirements are now identical, worded in performance language for both regulations. Requirements for qualification of welders are editorially conformed, retaining the incorporation by reference of section 3 of API Standard 1104 and section IX of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME] Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
