Archived Rulemaking: Transportation of natural and other gas by Pipeline; Reports of Leaks

Document
36-fr-7507.pdf (495.04 KB)

The purpose of this amendment is to modify § 191.5(b) of 49 CFR Part 191- Transportation of Natural and Other Gas by Pipeline; Reports of Leaks. Section 191.5(b) deals with telephonic notice of certain leaks, and provides that each notice required by paragraph (a) of the section shall be made by telephone to area code (202) 902-6000. This telephone number is being changed, effective immediately. Since this amendment will impose no additional burden on any person, I find that notice and public procedure are not neccesary, and that good cause exists for making it effective on less than 30 days notice.
