The Department of Transportation is amending Part 192 to create a now § 192.12 that will establish Federal safety standards for liquefied natural gas (LNG). This will be accomplished by incorporating into the regulations, by reference, standards developed in the revised and enlarged version of Standard 59A approved by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) on May 19, 1971.
