This action defers the effective date of the marking requirement of § 192.63(b) for thermoplastic pipe manufactured after May 17, 1978, from May 18, 1978, until August 16, 1978. The new effective date will allow additional time needed by some plastic pipe manufacturers to obtain equipment needed to mark pipe in accordance with section 9.2 of ASTM D2513 (1975b edition).
