Archived Rulemaking: Transportation of Natural and Other Gas by Pipeline; Hot Taps in Gas Pipelines

Document
44-fr-68491.pdf (1.13 MB)

This notice proposed to amend § 192.627 to ensure that when pressurized gas pipelines are connected, they have their internal gas pressures positively ascertained by pressure gages prior to the final step of allowing gas to flow between them. This practice is intended to avoid accidents resulting from mistakenly connecting two lines of incompatible pressures.
