Enhancement Considerations
API RP 1162 §6.2 lists relevant factors an operator should consider when deciding whether to enhance the baseline program. The written program must document the operator's consideration of the factors, but there is no requirement to implement enhancements. If an operator's program specifies that the baseline program will be enhanced, they must maintain records of the enhancements and the stakeholders to whom the enhancements were provided.
