The PSIA 2002 requires that programs include activities to advise affected municipalities, school districts, businesses, and residents of pipeline facility locations. As you will see later, the names of stakeholder groups are sometimes different in API RP 1162 and operators should ensure all stakeholders listed by Congress are included in a public awareness program.
